HI,

Back from a vacation and gfd, what a letdown. I'm as pissed off about computer related crap as I have been for a long time. A couple of the mp4s are important to us, and we can only look at them on the phone. Actually I should say, could, in the past tense, because allowing gd windows10 to try to fix the card led them to be unreadable on the phone. Shit. Shit. Shit.
The card is a SanDisk 128 gig Ultra XC. What's especially confusing about this mess is that all the files, mp4 and jpg, look and run (past tense!) fine on camera. It's only when I try to transfer and play on my PC that I discover problems. In transferring, some files are simply spotted as bad, I'm given the option of quitting or skipping, and so I can move on. Other files hang up Explorer so badly I have to wait, at a couple of points so long that I've killed the process by taking out the card to start over. Quite a f*****g pain.
- What's the best prog to scan the card for errors to, optimally, fix the files or, if that's not possible, somehow flag them so I can transfer the rest without a lot of sorting. There are about 700. If I could transfer the files to work on them on the PC that would be best.
- I tried to get what looked like the best SD card within reason. Should I give up on putting camera files on the SD?
Does Samsung not have their act together in some way? I never had problems like this with my Nexus5.

Any help will be apprecited.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
